Small ceramic animals for grown up collectors of tender things.
Pebble Den is a small world of hand sculpted ceramic animals, tiny beings made with care, curiosity, and a deep affection for the overlooked. Rabbits, cats, foxes, hedgehogs, bears, skunks, and shy little creatures appear at an intimate scale that invites the viewer to lean closer.

Selected works
This first edit is intentionally small. It works as a soft, professional beginning now, and it can grow later into a fuller archive of series, framed wall works, process photographs, and future collector releases.

Rabbit study
A tiny upright rabbit with inked features and a clear sense of scale.

Crouching rabbit
Low to the ground and soft around the edges, more creature than figurine.

Scale view
The intimacy of the work is part of the experience.

Reclining study
A resting pose that feels tender and watchful at once.

Sleeping rabbit
A tucked in form with the stillness of a found moment.

Skunk study
Graphic black and white markings bring contrast into the collection.

Bear form
A rounded face and compressed body give it an almost pebble like calm.

Standing figure
Small enough to be hidden in a palm, but shaped to command attention.
Built for close attention
Pebble Den is my small world of hand sculpted ceramic animals, tiny beings made with care, curiosity, and a deep affection for the overlooked. I have been an artist all my life, and although I trained in veterinary medicine, making has always remained at the centre of who I am.
I live with my tiny chihuahua Daisy, a collection of miniatures, and little treasures gathered from different places, all of which quietly shape the spirit of my work. Each piece is an offering of sweet whimsy, something small enough to invite a closer look and gentle enough to feel like a companion.
For adults and collectors who still treasure small, tender things.
From tiny gesture to finished companion
- Hand sculptedEach animal begins as a small gesture in clay, shaped by touch rather than repetition.
- Painted with restraintFine marks, soft glazes, and sparing detail keep the work gentle instead of overworked.
- Photographed as a worldLeaves, timber, fingertips, and shelves help communicate both scale and a clean storybook mood.
As stronger photographs and newer pieces are added, this site can grow into a fuller collector home with named series, framed wall works, archive pages, and a more direct path to collecting.
A real home for Pebble Den
This version is designed as a professional beginning: spacious, quiet, and credible enough to sit beside your Etsy shop while also opening the door to future direct sales, exhibition announcements, and collector inquiries. The tone leans toward quiet contemporary storybook, aimed at adults and collectors who treasure small, tender objects.
- Naughty cats seriesA dedicated page or feature block for the new story led cat works.
- Framed wall piecesOnce you source the dark timber wall boxes, they can become a signature series on the site.
- Artist statementA short personal text about scale, tenderness, sweet whimsy, and miniature narrative.
